Yesterday was Al’s mother’s funeral. In a lovely tribute to her, her family had decorated the foyer of the church with many pictures, as usual, but had added different items to the display.… click here to continue

Rainy Day Funeral

The skies are dreary and drippy, appropriate for this time of year. Also, it’s the kind of day to say goodbye to a good friend.

Funerals are not a favorite way for me to spend time. I hope there will be no funeral for me. A happy, wake-type memorial celebration of life is my style.

November Mood

If a first day of November warns of winter, this one is perfect. I wore my heavy jacket with the fake fur collar to the mailbox a block or two away. I’m huddled over an electric heater that keeps me warm and cozy at the computer.
