Christmas Eve Day

Imagine my surprise when I discovered today that I had sent travel stories to my relatives after each of our trips in the last couple of years, and had not kept copies for myself. Al came to my rescue with a couple that he had saved and I had written one up for my Writing Class, so had it on… click here to continue

South Africa Revisited

Six years ago I visited South Africa with ten other women writers from all over the United States. We were invited to go as ambassadors in the People to People program initiated by former president Eisenhower. We arrived there seven years after the abolishment of apartheid.

We were taken to a university to hear about their programs and… click here to continue

Pre-Christmas Festivities

When asked what he did about writer?s block, he claimed it did not exist for journalists. ?If I don?t write, I don?t get paid,? he responded. ?If I don?t get paid, I don?t eat.? He alleged that… click here to continue

Seattle-Anacortes Trip

I took a day off and wrote no entry for the blog yesterday. I carried my notebook computer to Seattle and back and never took it out of its carrying case.

Thursday I drove to Northwest Seattle to visit with a niece. She took me to a quaint little poetry bookstore in the afternoon. Of course, I couldn’t… click here to continue
