Another Month Gone at the Speed of Light

All the last day of the month stuff is done, i.e. paying bills, updating Quicken and backing it up, etc. The credit union and I still disagree on what my balance is, but since it’s in my favor, I’m not anxious to track it down.

Tomorrow morning will bring another session of swimming and water exercise. Usually a… click here to continue

She took care of the arrangements with a staff member at the cemetery while I waited. She had decided not to have a service there, since there had already been a lovely memorial service in… click here to continue

Conversation in a Dental Waiting Room

A few days ago while I was waiting to have my teeth cleaned, a young woman sat near me writing feverishly in a notebook. When she looked up, I asked:

“Are you a writer or a student?”

“Both” she replied. Then she began telling me her life story, which was quite involved and intriguing. The last… click here to continue
