TravelsMy new little travel mouse is installed and has been initiated today. Almost all of the files on my desktop have been copied onto the notebook computer. I need to do some re-arranging of those files and eliminate any duplicates. Each computer backs up the other this way. The flash drive I use to move the files is an additional… click here to continue June, 23rd, 2005 New ToysToday was health and errand day. I had a chiropractor visit and a doctor visit. Then I shopped for some computer toys. I bought a short printer cable and a travel mouse for my notebook computer. The travel mouse is about the size of a house mouse and very cute. It has a retractable cable and a little black carrying… click here to continue June, 22nd, 2005 Text Books for LifeWhen I was married for the first time more than fifty years ago, I had very limited information about the so-called “birds and bees.” None of it had been imparted to me by my parents. Our climate is acting tropical. It was a day of muddling through memoir stories. Determining which, if any,… click here to continue June, 19th, 2005 A Lazy SaturdayWe have some pretty laid back parties in this senior mobile home park. Today we had a “Too Tired” luncheon. Some people wore their nightclothes and left their hair uncombed. One gal in flannel pajamas pasted corn plasters under her eyes to look like bags. She won a prize, of course. Al and I thought we looked tired enough without… click here to continue June, 18th, 2005 Writing and PonderingToday was a good writing day. I edited a small section of memoirs and sent the piece off to a writing contest. It is an account of my teenage years during World War II, emphasizing how our family’s life changed because of the war, even though none of our immediate members were in the service. I also finalized… click here to continue June, 17th, 2005 |
