A Day of This n’That

After many months of writing a blog entry every day, it was all too easy to break the habit while we were away for a couple of weeks. Getting back into the swing of it is not as easy.

We Can All Help

I am so proud of the publishing industry. It’s been reported that two publishers (Random House and Bertelsmann’s) have each made a donation of $500,000. to the Katrina Hurricane recovery efforts. I’m sure there are other smaller publishing organizations that have donated in accordance with their size, also, although I’ve not heard about them. Back to Reality

We got most of the pictures from our cruise today and began immediately to mark them with date and place on the back of each one. How quickly we forget where we were! But by doing it this soon, at least we have a chance to get most of them right. It is fun to look and remember (or not).… click here to continue



A Hard Day’s Night

In spite of a short nap this afternoon, I’m dragging tonight. A visit to the doctor this morning, some shopping on the way home, and tackling two weeks’ accumulated mail took more energy than I had today. Tracking down bank statement discrepancies took a couple of hours also.

We’re Back

We have returned home from a week’s cruise through the British Isles and the Low Countries. After flying to London and spending two nights there, we visited six other cities, and cruised back across the Atlantic to New York the second week. Most of the time the weather was ideal.
