Recycling to the Nth Degree

My recycling has reached a new level. Today I dipped into my stack of used printer paper saved for drafts of my writing. The dates on some of the materials went back to 1984. There were pages of leftover information about United Way from the year I was a loaned executive at Multnomah County. There were charts from my brief,… click here to continue

Kindergarten Days Recalled

Today I played with pictures. If I had a clue what I was doing when scanning and attempting to edit pictures, I could call it work. Since that’s definitely not the case, it must be play (as in Kindergarten). Never a competent photographer, I’ve cut off more heads than ancient kings. When I have to utilize huge web sites, such as government agencies or cruise lines offer, I really get impatient with their failings.

I can only… click here to continue

Stay Out of the Kitchen

My new slogan is, “If you’re trying not to eat, stay out of the kitchen.” Our manufactured home has an L-shaped great room with the dining area in the leg of the L. The dining area has a doorway into the kitchen. The other end of the great room opens into the kitchen or a hallway to the bedrooms… click here to continue

Saturday Afternoon Visit

We spent a delightful several hours this afternoon with Al’s younger son, his son’s two daughters and one son-in-law, and last, but far from least, Al’s great grandson, now nearly nine months old. Kyran is a doll; teething now, but cheerful most of the time. He chatters away and says several recognizable words. The three grandchildren (Kyran’s parents and… click here to continue
