Lift that Box and Tote that Stack

It looks like we are more than half packed for our move. We took time out today to have our computer guru copy the digital pictures into a folder, and make two CD’s with copies on them. The digital pictures are not as good as the 35mm. film that I took, or even the same quality as the video… click here to continue

Just Another Day of Packing

I watched some of the Rose Festival Parade while resting in between rounds of filling boxes. It is amazing how many parts of the world are represented. A dancing/marching group from Osaka was of particular interest, since we boarded the cruise ship in Osaka on our recent trip. The group seemed to be all females and were reported to range… click here to continue

A Month of Furious Activity

I made a disappointing trip to Home Depot today, looking for a specific light fixture for over the kitchen sink and for lampshades. A sister in Seattle sent me a newspaper clipping today about Mountlake… click here to continue

Mind Meanderings

I’m not crazy about being old, but I sure do like being retired. Maybe in my next life I can arrange it so I’ll be retired when I’m young and can enjoy it more and work when I’m old. The AARP Bulletin that arrived today has a picture and article about an 83-year-old gal who’s still working at General Motors.… click here to continue

Puzzle Pieces Fall Into Place

We lined up the apartment we really want today. It has a huge living room with a fireplace and a balcony overlooking lovely landscaping. Of course, the master bedroom is a little over half the size of this one, but that will discourage us from accumulating so much. The kitchen is a tad smaller than this one but, as… click here to continue
