Sew What

After dragging my sewing machine around and not using it for the last ten or twenty years, I gave it away. It didn’t occur to me that all my needles and thread were in the drawers, but the thread may possibly be rotten anyway, some of it is so old. It was well organized in little clear plastic boxes, by… click here to continue

I’m Mad As ----And I’m Not Gonna Take It Any More

Actually, I’m over my mad now. I have been in miscommunication with a communications company for nearly two months now. Part of the lack of rapport is due to their having tech reps who have English as a second or third or ? language who speak in heavy accents that are difficult to understand over the phone. Last year, according to AOL news, traffic deaths went up in this country. I wonder if anyone has studied the correlation between… click here to continue

Memories, Good or Bad

I spent about half the day at Kurt and Carrie’s today. After picking beans and watering the garden, I mostly loafed and visited. Kurt was not as active today as yesterday, but that’s probably just as well. It brought back memories of the things you think twice about doing after abdominal surgery, i.e. coughing, sneezing, laughing or even blowing… click here to continue

Busy, Busy

Life is busy these days. I need to leave for my swim in a few minutes, then have a bridge lesson from my new friend.

Tomorrow I will go to Kurt and Carrie’s to let the dog in and out for a few hours while Carrie is on errands. Kurt is doing well, but getting up and… click here to continue
