Invasion of the Furniture CarriersA small army of Floyd’s children and grandchildren arrived at his apartment this afternoon with a U-Haul trailer and emptied the contents of his place into the trailer. They arrived here and ran in all directions carrying his worldly goods. About a third of what they had loaded went back to the trailer to be hauled to their warehouse… click here to continue 0 Comment(s) about this entry. | Permalink September, 23rd, 2006 BarteringWe bartered some muscle from my son-in-law in trade for a light lunch and the use of a recliner, which he and my daughter took home with them. As I went through… click here to continue 0 Comment(s) about this entry. | Permalink September, 19th, 2006 Cable LandToday I entered cable land on my way to wireless computering. I don’t even have to know what I’m doing, it appears, as long as someone does. I’m hoping that someone will be my son-in-law, who can finish the installation and free me from a desk. I now have a little black box with four green eyes and a blinking… click here to continue 0 Comment(s) about this entry. | Permalink September, 18th, 2006 More Unpacking ChoresFinally got some pictures hung today. It seems to make a new place seem more like home with old familiar pictures around. I still have a lot of family photos to sort through and find places to display. I hate to make as many holes as it might take to put them all up on these freshly painted walls.… click here to continue 0 Comment(s) about this entry. | Permalink September, 17th, 2006 |
