The Rains Came

The rain arrived in the night last night. I got out of bed and saw water bouncing off the pavement in the parking lot next door. The next time I got up, the pavement was nearly dry. But, in the morning, it was raining again as it did off and on all day. Actually, we need the moisture and… click here to continue

Summer, You Old Indian Summer

Our summer has dragged on and on. Now that the trees are beginning to glow with many colors, it seems to be leaving us. Today was cloudy and the next two days are expected to be quite rainy.

We have plenty of rainy day tasks and pastimes, so tomorrow can be busy, if we choose. Floyd is… click here to continue

I started out the morning, after breakfast, at… click here to continue

What I Never Anticipated I’d be Doing at This Age

(For a departure from my usual blog style)

1. Making lunches for my 82-year old housemate to take to work.

2. Swimming four or five times a week.

3. Hot-tubbing whenever I choose.

4. Writing and tweaking travel journals of my trips to far corners of the world.

5.… click here to continue

Ups and Downs of Aging

Whether or not it is an idiosyncrasy of my eyes or a result of aging, I find it difficult to read black print on dark colored backgrounds. However, I’ve noted that, if I highlight the print, the background changes color and the print is white, much easier to read. There are a number of other people’s blogs that I… click here to continue
