World’s Fairs

On my last visit to my chiropractor, he noticed and asked about the book I was reading. I told him it was about the building of the transcontinental railroad. Then I mentioned that I had first heard about the driving of the golden spike as a child while attending a World’s Fair in San Francisco.

The Golden Spike

Recently Floyd brought home a book from the King City Library titled, Nothing Like It In The World. He read it and I’ve nearly finished it now. This story of the building of the transcontinental railroad is fascinating.
