Rock It, Baby

You Tube is a phenomenon I know very little about. It is fascinating and I fear it could become the greatest theft of time since Solitaire. Recently on a writers? ezine, I ran across this remarkable video that features some really senior citizens. What a kick they are!  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zqfFrCUrEbY

It is wonderful to see so many oldsters… click here to continue

My Heart Goes Pitter-Patter

Well, actually what happened Tuesday morning only raised my normal pulse rate of 60-62 by a few beats. I received not one, but two, personal emails from movie stars. The first was from Robert Redford asking for money to save the planet. The second, from Paul Newman, asked for money for another cause. 70 percent of U.S. adults have not been in… click here to continue

I always thought he should call it “My Opinion,” because he talked more than he allowed his listeners to do. Maybe because he was blind and didn’t have as many opportunities to share… click here to continue

Pre Traumatic Stress Disorder

Yesterday I had a strange experience--brought about, I believe, by reading the latest episode from my memoir stories. Writing it had been difficult but I hadn’t expected the prospect of reading it aloud to my critique group would make me physically ill. As my turn to read approached, I began feeling weird symptoms. I wondered if I could be… click here to continue

On Not Writing

(as opposed to Stephen King’s On Writing)

Daunted is a good word for my feelings about memoir stories I’ve put together so far. They seem scattered and disorganized. I’m remembering how much work it was to put together the few books I’ve written and/or edited and I get tired thinking about it.

Obviously what I need… click here to continue
