Googled

It appears that Google is providing personal information in reverse telephone directory format for subscribers with the membership fee and current telephone numbers. When I googled my phone number, having paid no membership fee, my website and my post office box address came up. I don’t object to having that information readily available, but having my home address (allegedly… click here to continue

Treasure Hunt

Searching for the snapshots from the visit to Maui with my sisters in 2001, motivated me to start cleaning the huge master bedroom closet. Unfortunately, I found the pictures before I finished the closet. But the half I did looks so neat, it may inspire me to finish. Our housekeeper usually comes on Monday, but I asked her to postpone because we had stuff scattered all over out of the laundry area and off the balcony for different reasons. So, she rescheduled for today.… click here to continue

Lessons in Perseverance

My motivation, which kept me slogging slowly through all those words, was to see if I could determine what attracted so many people to the book. Darned if I know. I found it better for inducing sleep than NoDoz much of the time.

A Strange Summer

We have had strange weather this summer. Oregonians are noted for claiming “unusual” weather to tourists, especially when it’s raining. Having lived in the Pacific Northwest for 65 years, I’ve become accustomed to the rain, but the temperatures switching back and forth constantly rile up old arthritic joints. We’ve had many switches the past few months.
