Farewell to Summer

Steady rain has been falling most of the day and shows no signs of stopping soon. Leaves are turning gold and falling. With the handwriting on the wall, we put the deck umbrella and the fans in the attic this morning.

There may well be some warm sunny days in October. Since we?’l be in Maui the… click here to continue

So What Am I Here For

Retirees, myself included, often wonder how we ever had time to work, especially on days when we can only seem to get through about half of our “to do” lists. Eventually, I plan to operate with only one computer and good backup. That conversion will take some time, but I’m looking forward to getting it done.

Neighbors

Having lived in this apartment for slightly over a year now, I’m painfully aware that, although I often say “Hi,” to them, I don’t know very many of my closest neighbors’ names. Some I have met, but can’t remember the names. I think I have the names down of the couple next door, and today I clarified the names… click here to continue
