Farewell to SummerSteady rain has been falling most of the day and shows no signs of stopping soon. Leaves are turning gold and falling. With the handwriting on the wall, we put the deck umbrella and the fans in the attic this morning. There may well be some warm sunny days in October. Since we?’l be in Maui the… click here to continue 0 Comment(s) about this entry. | Permalink September, 30th, 2007 So What Am I Here ForRetirees, myself included, often wonder how we ever had time to work, especially on days when we can only seem to get through about half of our “to do” lists. After the furniture moving, I hope to take a swim… click here to continue 0 Comment(s) about this entry. | Permalink September, 15th, 2007 Changing PlacesMy new office space in the smaller bedroom is working out well. I’m really happy with the compact arrangement of the furniture. It is just a few steps between the two computers. Eventually, I plan to operate with only one computer and good backup. That conversion will take some time, but I’m looking forward to getting it done. … click here to continue0 Comment(s) about this entry. | Permalink September, 10th, 2007 NeighborsHaving lived in this apartment for slightly over a year now, I’m painfully aware that, although I often say “Hi,” to them, I don’t know very many of my closest neighbors’ names. Some I have met, but can’t remember the names. I think I have the names down of the couple next door, and today I clarified the names… click here to continue 0 Comment(s) about this entry. | Permalink September, 07th, 2007 |
