Down Memory Lane

I have just completed editing the more than 800 blog entries I’ve written since I started Barbara’s Blog. The transfer to a new service provider produced some glitches because I compose the blog pieces on Microsoft Word, which has certain idiosyncrasies. Most dashes and apostrophes converted themselves to question marks, so I had to delete and replace them. Before I… click here to continue

Snow Jobs

Google’s Analytics is a fun way to keep track of those who visit your website. It has more statistics than I ever need to know, but the ones I do want to see are really helpful. It’s fun to learn what countries and/or organizations are represented. You can also get a sneak peek at who may be planning a SPAM… click here to continue

There are fairly easy ways to transfer data if you have a network, but for some reason, we can’t seem to get a network going in my… click here to continue

Computer Hell

I’m still trying to find the password to get out of computer Hell. Ugh!! Ugh!! I believe we should stop trying to clone any humans other than computer nerds who can think the way computers do. I ain’t one.
You don’t want to hear all the problems I’m having trying to get my new equipment up… click here to continue

Ranting Again

I wrote the following on Thursday (yesterday) and one of my more aggravating computer problems prevented me from posting it, so try again…

Today I bought three of the highly touted, allegedly energy-saving fluorescent light bulbs shaped like pretzels. To my surprise, they are encased in plastic (a lot of it), that appears not to be recyclable. In… click here to continue
