A Brighter Future

Yesterday my surgeon’s office called to schedule cataract surgery for me. I’ll be having one eye done next week and the other at some undetermined later date. I’m very excited about the possibility of having better vision than ever. Most everyone I’ve talked to who’s had the surgery has reported good results. My mother had only one eye done… click here to continue

Writers’ Retreat

For the last ten years or so I’ve been attending A Writer’s Weekend at the Beach in Ocean Park, Washington every February, with a few exceptions that I missed for various reasons. Writer’s Weekend is a gathering of writers, both novice and more experienced, with published authors leading workshops and critique sessions. The beat-up old black one I’ve been carrying around has a stubborn zipper and is hard to find inside a purse. So I discovered a pink… click here to continue

Our First (Pre) Spring Day

We have bright, warm sunshine today. When we returned from an overnight visit to a mountain resort this morning, I opened the sliding glass door and turned off all the heat. Fresh air is coming in. Our sunrises and sunsets the last few days have been sensational.

I even did a little gardening this afternoon. Very little, admittedly.… click here to continue

Google Geography

Google Analytics tells me that I have had visitors from fourteen countries since my website is on its new server. All but two, Ireland and Canada, represent one visit each for slightly over one minute only. But it’s nice that there are people out there who are curious. Ireland and Canada have had four visits each. There is no way… click here to continue
