Part Two - Gathering of the ClanWe arrived at my sister’s house in Lake Forest Park, north of Seattle. She lives in a lovely manufactured home surrounded by trees and flowers on a steep hillside. So, today… click here to continue July, 19th, 2008 Climate and Other ChangesNow that July is more than half over, we are finally enjoying some wonderful weather—not too hot, nor cold, nor wet. Our oversized umbrella on the outdoor table makes lounging on our deck very comfortable. It also protects some of the flowers that the sun burns. Our potted tomato plant loves the sun and is loaded with blooms. Three tiny… click here to continue July, 17th, 2008 Gypsy FeetSunday we attended a fiftieth birthday party for my son-in-law at their apartment in Gresham. The weather was hot, but the room was cooled by fans, and when we went out to the yard for barbecue, there was plenty of shade. My son and daughter began reminiscing about the number of houses we had lived in during their lifetimes. I… click here to continue July, 15th, 2008 |
