Indian Summer

We are enjoying an Indian Summer with high temperatures approximately fifteen degrees above normal for this time of year. We spent yesterday relaxing in and out of a pool and reading in the shade. This year I’ve noticed that, even though I strive to stay in shade, and slather myself with sunscreen, I have many new freckles and sunspots.

A Novel Novel

The last two books I brought home from the library were on the “New Arrivals” shelf. The first one I wrote about a week or so ago. I’m still struggling with the second one. Once in a while I’ll look at a full moon and remember how that moon looked shining… click here to continue

Redemption by Lee Jackson, an American writer presently residing in New Zealand, is set in a tiny town in Montana, a most unlikely spot to become the center of national attention in… click here to continue

Guinea Pig Volunteer

Yesterday afternoon I went to the first meeting of a group of volunteers for a Kaiser health study. Those who qualify, having already met some prerequisites, and having lost ten pounds during the first six months of the study, will spend another year involved in the research. Most of the first year, we will meet weekly. After the first… click here to continue
