Living History

Well I have to say I’m happy that I lived long enough to see a political miracle. Many times during my life, I’ve wondered if I’d ever vote for a winning president again. Not only did I pick a winner this year, but a long shot that I probably would not have bet on, even if I were a gambler.

Sunday morning we sat down with a pile of pre-election literature, including voters’ pamphlets and our ballots. First glance at the ballots seemed overwhelming, but we had recommendations from all over the map. Current Events

When I was in high school, we had a class called Current Events, listed under the category of History, if I remember correctly. We students had no idea how soon current events could become history and I had very little interest.
