Belated Christmas Dinner

Tonight we celebrated Christmas, sharing traditional turkey and all the trimmings with three of Floyd’s kids and their families. It was a fun evening with the sports fans entertained by a football and then a basketball game on a big screen television.

Family holiday dinners are always full of remember when’s and those stories are mostly new to… click here to continue

Free at Last

Finally got out from behind the walls yesterday and was amazed my car, that had been buried in snow for a week, started immediately when I turned the key. My 2000 Honda still has its original battery, so I thought that was pretty surprising. However, a gal in the swimming pool today told me she just replaced the original… click here to continue

Since we were invited to Floyd’s family’s traditional Christmas Eve crab and spaghetti dinner, and could not be there, I cooked spaghetti tonight. I had… click here to continue

Let it Melt, Pleeeaaase

It’s not like I don’t have plenty of things to do indoors, it’s like I’m sick of them. Looking out the window at the same white scenery has limited appeal.

Today I tried to transfer a hundred plus pictures from my digital camera to the computer. I’m not only mechanically challenged, I’m electronically challenged and even resorting to… click here to continue

Brrr Humbug

This weather has already been a long siege; it looks to be even longer—maybe much longer. We are still warm and comfortable. As long as the power stays on, all will be well.

Our wonderful neighbor continues to clear the sidewalks, which helped when we had some company earlier today, but we don’t plan to go out.… click here to continue
