Playing Catchup

Having been home a week now, I’m beginning to feel caught up with laundry, and miscellaneous household chores. Today I worked on writing tasks, editing and printing my travel journal to take to my critique group on Tuesday, and even drafting the first stanza of a poem.

Settling Back In

It’s good to be back home. It will be better when I feel totally caught up on rest and the backlog of chores that accumulate when you’re gone. Blown Home by Trade Winds

That’s not exactly true, because the strong winds of the Pacific were blowin’ agin’ us when we cruised back from Hawaii on Holland America’s Zaandam. They delayed the ship enough that the scheduled four-hour stop at Ensenada on Friday night was cancelled so that we could get into San Diego on time Saturday morning.
