Recent Developments

After driving my youngest sister to the airport in heavy showers on Tuesday morning, I peeked into the ivy pot on my front porch, at the bird’s nest that had contained four eggs that hatched into three tiny birds. To my shock, it was empty. The last time I saw the baby birds, they hadn’t yet opened their eyes.… click here to continue

The Party’s Over

Last Wednesday morning my recently widowed sister from California arrived and began to help me get ready for a party on Saturday to celebrate my 80th birthday and my daughter’s retirement. After moving stuff around yesterday and today because of carpet cleaning,… click here to continue

Blustery Easter

The wind and rain this Easter remind me of the Easter in Seattle years ago when my stylish new hat was snowed on. That was before I figured out that Easter Lilies were aggravating my hay fever and quit going to church on Easter. Later, I quit going to church entirely. I won’t elaborate on that controversial subject.
