I Don’t Like to go to Meetings

After many years in the business world and membership in outside organizations, I’ve developed an aversion to sitting for hour(s) listening to someone talk. So I avoid most organizations and only joined TOPS because I had seen their support work for friends of mine who had lost weight. It’s working for me, also.  Now I’m the one who does… click here to continue

Preview of Summer

We are enjoying fabulous weather in the Portland Metro area, which should continue all weekend, according to the forecasters. Great weather for swimming and lounging and I did some of both today, in between errands.

There is a possible threat of an electrical storm tomorrow afternoon, but tomorrow should be as warm as today was, or close. Our high was… click here to continue

I hear that… click here to continue

Writer’s Workshops

News of a writers’ workshop in June on the Oregon coast fell into my email in- basket the other day. I signed up for it and need to research accommodations for at least one night. Willamette Writers’ annual conference will be in August here in Portland, and “Write on the Sound” in Edmonds (near Seattle) in October. If I can… click here to continue

Reading the Headlines

Most mornings I scan the headlines on AOL and Comcast to see if there is anything going on that’s of interest to me. I’m beginning to think the health headlines are hazardous to my health—if not to my physical health, at least my mental health. For example, this morning I read that there appears to be a link between… click here to continue
