A Couple of Eventful Days

Yesterday the temperature here dropped suddenly and the predicted rainstorm turned to snow. Four inches fell where we are. Because it was unexpected, almost no drivers were prepared, so havoc resulted. I heard on the news today that approximately a thousand drivers abandoned their cars on freeways and main roads or highways. I’m sure we’ll be hearing sad stories for… click here to continue

Energy Transfusion

I don’t know what prompted sudden bursts of energy the last couple of days—maybe eating turkey three days in a row or swimming five consecutive days or getting a good nap now and then. But I managed to get several things done that have been on the procrastination list for a while.

Random Thoughts

Christmas is just a week away. Sometimes I wish I could recapture the excitement it held for me when I was a child. That’s probably one of the disadvantages of not having grandchildren. On balance, today, the advantages may equal or exceed the downside. So many grandparents are raising grandchildren and, even though they may love doing it, it has… click here to continue
