Lost and Found

For several weeks I’ve been looking for a poem I wrote fifteen or twenty years ago. I can’t find it in either computer or on a CD of poems in my file. There is no hard copy in my file drawer, either. Thursday Morning Weigh-In

I can’t remember a Wednesday night before my Thursday morning T.O.P.S. meeting when I had no appetite at dinnertime. This is the second day of some mysterious ailment that has me unable to eat much of anything. Normally, if I lose my appetite, I start looking for an undertaker or writing my obituary. Two Big News Stories

I’m as concerned about the missing seven-year-old boy in our area as anyone else, but I’m already tired of hearing the same yammering over and over on television. When there is really no helpful information available, listening to the same speculation over and over becomes annoying very quickly. Fortunately, my remote has handy mute and off buttons.

Satisfying Day

For a change, I spent the morning today working on a memoir account of my employment history. I did what I expect will be the last fine-tuning edit. I had started through it yesterday and continued today to the end of the piece.

My Aging Flivver

My loyal, dependable Honda Civic turned ten this spring and developed, among other symptoms, an annoying howl. I suspected muffler or tailpipe problems. When I had the tires rotated, I asked the fellow who did the job to take a look. He came back and said he thought it might be the tailpipe.
