Dredging Up MemoriesAnother section of my memoirs is taking shape. The writing is not going as quickly as I would like, but the framing of the events is falling into place. I’m not sure if two days of serious indigestion is related to bringing back old unpleasant memories, or the bad barbecue I ate Saturday night. Maybe it’s some of both.… click here to continue July, 11th, 2005 Retrofit JournalingA good day to be inside, organizing and editing stories for memoirs. It goes faster when I stay with it and work through the list of titles. All the stories that are written have been edited now. Time to bite the bullet and write some new ones. Actually, I’m anxious to get started. There are a group of travel… click here to continue July, 10th, 2005 A Cool Summer SaturdayToday was a good one. I revised some stories, had a swim and a nap, and also cleaned a few kitchen appliances. We went to a barbecue dinner at the clubhouse this evening with live music furnished by Dave Eberle. It is sad to reflect that, because of today’s bombing, London may be among the safest places in the world when we visit there next month. That will probably… click here to continue July, 07th, 2005 The Mystery is SolvedThe problem of the musical telephone at 1:00 a.m. has been solved. *If I were a good person I’d call the manufacturer of the phone and let them know what I discovered. A travel clock we’ve been working on to take with us to Europe has been sitting next to the new phone and it is the actual culprit. This… click here to continue July, 06th, 2005 SpookedSome recent events are pushing me to the brink of paranoia. First, I bought a new cordless phone. For four or five nights now, ever since we hooked it up and charged it, it plays a song (similar to a cell phone ring) for several minutes every twenty-four hours. This occurs regularly at 1:00 a.m. This new phone does not… click here to continue July, 05th, 2005 Page 175 of 213 pages « First < 173 174 175 176 177 > Last » |
