Brief Encounters

In the shower, this morning, where many of my ideas are born, I was thinking about all the brief encounters in my life. There are people I’ve met once or twice who made enough of an impression to wonder where they are now and if their lives have changed as much as mine.

Some of them were relatives of friends… click here to continue

An Exciting Day - Not

Not a very exciting day, Saturday. The highlight was a trip to Bi-Mart to select a new toilet seat. As I told a friend, if I’m going to be pinched in the rear, I’d prefer it not to be by my old cracked, toilet seat. I picked a plush, padded job that is warmer and softer than its oak… click here to continue

The cut on my lip is nearly invisible now, the knee is mostly healed, and the dentist rebuilt the tooth today. I’m not as good as new, but may be… click here to continue

Alaska Cruise (Continued)

We headed North through Puget Sound and Admiralty Inlet, then West through the Strait of Juan de Fuca and on to the Pacific Ocean bound for Juneau. Sunday evening I enjoyed a musical extravaganza in the Princess Theater.

The trip was smooth and we arrived in Juneau at 12:30 p.m. on Monday May 16th. In Juneau we rode the… click here to continue

Alaska Cruise

My detailed record of our trip to Alaska and the Yukon will be posted to the travel page of my website when it’s finished. A capsule version will be started on this web log entry.

We drove to Seattle and parked at Pier 30 where we boarded the Diamond Princess, after standing in line for about an hour and a… click here to continue
