No Snow Here

We have no snow here, yet, but the threat is not over until Noon tomorrow according to the weather forecasters. But it is cold—very cold for this late in the year. My sisters in Seattle have about three inches of snow on the ground, and my third sister, in Southern California, reports it turned cold there this morning. Brrr!… click here to continue

Tidbits

Today I picked up my new glasses—the interim pair to be worn until my second cataract is removed. I put them on and exclaimed, “Wow.” The young man at the dispensing office responded, “I bet it is Wow from your side of the glass.” There was such a difference between the old pair (before cataract surgery) and the new, that… click here to continue

Last weekend I joined several other poets for an evening… click here to continue

Tote a Tote

Just how many tote bags does one old gal need, anyway? Organizing closet shelves yesterday, I uncovered a dozen or so in various shapes, sizes and colors. I managed to pry one of them loose and put it in a Goodwill bag. Maybe if I pulled out one a week for a couple of months, I could get my stash… click here to continue

Poetry and Politics

Last night I met with several other poets at a lovely home in Sherwood to share homemade soup and bread and cheese and fruit, along with a bottle of homemade plum wine. For medical reasons, I’m no longer allowed to indulge in alcohol, but the wine made a big hit with others, a pretty hard hit, according to one who… click here to continue
