Patience

Looking back on my life, I realize many situations I’ve been in were destined to teach me patience, not a long suit as I grew up.

The three men I married, all veterans of World War II, damaged in different ways by war, eventually exhausted my patience. Enough said on that subject. Post-traumatic stress disorder was unheard of in those… click here to continue

Buried Memory Tidbits

Last night at the Memoir Writing group meeting, someone mentioned working at a radio station and triggered a memory I’d forgotten. I’ve written a long story about all the jobs I’ve held during my life, but omitted the brief time I typed logs at a local radio station where my then-husband had a talk show. Some assignments were articles from The Readers Digest that had already been condensed, a bit more of a challenge. To… click here to continue

Water Table/Ground Water

Thanks to the vast treasury of information on the internet, I just read about the above subjects. I didn’t understand a lot of what I read, but I’m convinced we have a lotta water around us in this complex. I’m told the rental office for the apartments was moved to the apartment across the street from me, because it kept… click here to continue

Read and Weep

Read and Weep

I did.

From last night’s Republican debate ...

CNN’s Wolf Blitzer, the event’s moderator, posed the hypothetical question to Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas): What do you tell a guy who is sick, goes into a coma and doesn’t have health insurance? Who pays for his coverage? “Are you saying society should just let him die?” Wolf Blitzer… click here to continue
