Sad Saturday

Since I’ve had my flu shot, I’ve felt under the weather. There is probably no connection. I read that the vaccine takes two weeks to activate in the system to give you immunity. The flu may have caught me before I got the shot or my sensitive stomach may just be rebelling again.

Today I spent some time… click here to continue

The Last Strawberry

A cold wind is blowing the leaves around this morning. I spent a few minutes outside, deadheading flowers. I guess it’s time to put the lawn furniture away. The last strawberry of the season was not as sweet as earlier ones. If it had been, a bird or squirrel would have taken a bite before I got there, I’m sure.… click here to continue

While catching up on reading email, I had a jolt. A friend of more than sixty years has… click here to continue

A Visit to the Past

Today I attended Lake Forest Park Presbyterian Church with my sister. We began singing in their choir, and joined a Christian Endeavor young people’s group there in about 1942, when only the basement was constructed. The rest of the church was not built until construction materials became available again after World War II ended. I left Seattle in 1962 for… click here to continue
