Writers’ Faire

Next Tuesday, October 5th, Willamette Writers and Oregon Writers’ Colony are co-sponsoring a giant book signing event at the Portland Armory on 33rd Avenue, near Marine Drive. The doors will open at 7:00 p.m. and close at 9:00 p.m.

This is pretty exciting for tadpoles such as myself, because there will be a number of internationally famous authors… click here to continue

Runaway Muse

While I was writing my non-fiction book, my poetry muse ran and hid. Just because the process of creating a book and getting it published put me into a series of bad moods and anti-procrastination arguments with myself, my muse got into a snit. Like many runaways, muse is unlikely to return until she’s sure she’ll receive the welcoming reception… click here to continue

One number was all I lacked for the $50.00 blackout, but a miss is as good (or bad) as a mile. Of course, I’ve already spent more than $4.00, even at 50 cents… click here to continue

Bingo

Bingo! Today it hit me right between the eyes. I really am 75 years old. Most of my life I considered card games and Bingo a waste of time. Now I’m looking forward to playing Bingo tonight at the clubhouse in the senior facility where we live. A few recent card games with visiting relatives have brought us some laughs… click here to continue

A Long Sigh

After spending half a day yesterday dealing with computer technicians, I was braced to spend whatever part of this day would be necessary dealing with my credit union and my Broadband provider.

Several months ago, we purchased a router to use in forming a computer network in our house. The manufacturer offered a rebate of $99.95. As usual,… click here to continue
