End of the Harvest

Al brought in the last items from our little garden this morning. One cucumber looks like a fig. There are two tiny yellow squash, and more green tomatoes than we need. I promised him fried green tomatoes, so we can use some of them for that. I don’t like fried green tomatoes, but I hate to waste food, and fortunately… click here to continue

Fatigue

From time to time I read the blog of a former writing instructor who describes himself as a retired playwright, who now writes novels, stories, and librettos. Al is home trying to get some rest before… click here to continue

Sad Saturday

Since I’ve had my flu shot, I’ve felt under the weather. There is probably no connection. I read that the vaccine takes two weeks to activate in the system to give you immunity. The flu may have caught me before I got the shot or my sensitive stomach may just be rebelling again.

Today I spent some time… click here to continue
