A Pleasant Sunday Afternoon

Sunday afternoon we drove into Portland for a Chamber Music Concert at Sherman Clay/Moe’s Pianos small auditorium. My daughter-in-law, who has a lovely operatic voice, sang along with a small group of musicians. All were talented and entertaining. Various groupings of piano, violin, bass, French horn and cello performed with and without accompanying soprano solos.

I usually dread going into town because of the parking nightmare, even on weekends, but there were two parking garages nearby. We chose one of those so we didn’t have to drive around looking for street parking. It’s probably a toss-up whether or not the cost of gas for driving around exceeds the cost of garage parking, but having less hassle definitely factors into the decision.

On the way home, we stopped for a light supper to finish the delightful afternoon.
