A Quiet Day at HomeWe spent a quiet day at home. I did a few chores. We managed to get the fresh Christmas tree into the stand and water it well. It will rest on the deck outside for a week or so while we accumulate a few decorations and make a space for it inside. That reminds me it’s time to start working on the dreaded year-end Holiday letter. I should get it out early since I moved again this year. I hope this will be the last move for a long time. I’m very happy here in this comfortable place. We have a fire tonight and it’s warm and cozy. I was able to swim and exercise before dinner so I’m feeling much better than the last couple of nights after the little fall on Sunday. We’re looking forward to watching Boston Legal (Part Two of the Sunday show) tonight. I hope it doesn’t turn into a nightmare producer as some episodes of Law & Order, Cold Case and Medium have been. I haven’t had a nightmare in weeks. Some fairly recent ones have wakened me when I heard a scream and realized it’s mine.
I’m still debating whether to do some Christmas shopping this year or continue the cowardly check writing. I can use my bad feet as an excuse for not shopping and no one has to exchange a check, the universal gift card.
