A Swimming Good Time

We had a great time today. Two of Floyd’s children, one daughter-in-law, and several grandchildren came over in the late morning and we all went swimming in the King City Pool. The adults also took advantage of the spa hot tub. After exhausting ourselves in the pool, we came back here and had sandwiches and drinks while watching the first half of the Civil War game. (Oregon v. Oregon State, for the uninitiated)

The guests left to go back to the home of one of his daughters. The son and family are here from Seattle and staying with her.

This old gal collapsed after they left for a revitalizing two-hour nap. Floyd watched the last half of the game, and it was reportedly a good one.

Tomorrow, a friend and her daughter will come by and pick me up for a planned tour of the Pittock Mansion. In all the forty-plus years I’ve lived in the Portland-Vancouver area, I’ve never been there. It should be especially interesting with Christmas decorations.

Another turkey dinner here on Sunday will force me to swim more and eat less. Walking around the three-story Pittock Mansion tomorrow may help with the needed extra exercise.
