A Thankful Weekend

This has turned into a really great Thanksgiving weekend. Our weather has been wonderful. We were able to enjoy a marvelous dinner with most of Floyd’s family on Thursday. We hope that the couple suffering from the flu, who weren’t able to join us, are recovering now.

We’re expecting a fun group for dinner here tomorrow—my daughter and son, with their spouses and my cousin and his wife. I’m fixing an easy pot roast meal so I won’t be stuck in the kitchen. “Easy” is the theme of my life these days. Hard is for young people. My guests will be contributing to the meal also, to make it easier. We moved some furniture around today to put together a makeshift long table in our small dining area so we can all eat together.

The only down side was having the Buick diagnosed today—taken in for repair of a small leak and getting a long and expensive list of ailments. It should be in good shape when it comes back, anyway.
