Another Gorgeous Fall (Non-Writing) Day

On our way back from a lovely drive today, a police officer stopped us. He was suspicious that Floyd had been drinking because he was going ten miles below the speed limit and touched the fog line several times. I don’t think he touched the fog line until he saw the cop following, which was making him nervous. Anyway, he was satisfied that we were okay and sent us on our way. We were not on a freeway, so driving under the speed limit should not have been a problem unless the cop was in a hurry.

As a regular non-churchgoer, I am often astonished at the un-Christian behavior of regular church members. I’ve recently learned of several unpleasant political situations in congregations that include people I know. And we wonder how religious wars start? I’m omitting all details because I certainly don’t want to contribute to any dissension.

Lately it seems that every day I think I’ll get some writing done and I don’t. Once again, tomorrow will be a new start. It’s hard to glue myself to the computer when the weather stays so lovely. I’m also distracted by the necessity to get ready for the annual Fairfield sisters’ gathering in Seattle next week. I may miss some blog entries while I’m there, so be warned.
