CousinvilleToday we had a delightful reunion dinner with numerous cousins on our father’s side of the family. The daughter of one of his two brothers and her husband, and two sons of one stepbrother, and various spouses joined my three sisters and me. The hosting sister’s daughter joined us for dinner and her husband came along later to visit with all of us briefly. There were fourteen of us at dinner and the conversation was lively. After dinner, we compared notes on family history and all learned things from each other we hadn’t known before. It is incredible how missing pieces of information fit together like jigsaw puzzle pieces and may form pictures very different from the way we saw them in the past.
Now that it’s nearly bedtime, my two sisters and I who are staying together are very grateful that we have an extra hour to sleep tonight. And so good night.
