Full Moon

Tonight a bright full moon promises cold temperatures, but if it can hang in, the snow should pass us by.

Our April weather this year reminds me of a verse I wrote a few years back, when Spring and Winter fought for control. I wrote this on April 10, 2001:

Winter Lingers

Winter dawdles, hides in a forest,
doesn’t want to leave.

Lest Spring think she’s Queen,
he sneaks out, shoves her aside.
Full of wind, dripping rain
he usurps her new domain.
