Goodbye to the Former Home of My Many Creations

We are having another gorgeous day. I had the sliding door to the deck open for about an hour while the sun was shining in and I was eating lunch—almost like lunching al fresco.

Richard picked up my clunky old desktop this morning. We are donating that dinosaur to a teenage church group. It’s great to know it will still be in use. It’s sad that a five-year old computer is so out of date. But, once he gets it cleaned out, it should speed up enough to be tolerable for kids.

He also helped me rearrange this guest/spare/junk room to be more functional. We may just have the only guest room in King City with a computer, a television and VCR, and a full size refrigerator. Oh, and a comfortable queen size bed. The bed is almost totally cleared off now, also. If we should install a microwave, I might never have to leave this room, except to pop next door to the bathroom.

This morning I researched cordless phones on line and picked out the exact model I want to purchase. The trick will be to see if any of the local stores have it. Otherwise, I’ll have to order online and wait for delivery. I’ll start searching this afternoon. The one I bought approximately a year ago is not doing the job for us. It probably has more to do with our elderly brains than with the phone, itself. I’m hoping that the replacement one I’ve chosen is more user friendly, or more impaired user friendly, perhaps? I’ll report on that later.
