Great Spring DayLast weekend we hauled some of the deck furniture out of the storeroom across the street and I’ve been enjoying reading out there on sunny afternoons, such as we had today. I keep most of my body in the shade and put my chalk white legs in the sun to hope for a bit of color before I go to California next week. Floyd played golf with one of his daughters this afternoon on our local nine-hole course. Later in the afternoon I started organizing things I want to take on my trip. It’s too soon to pack, but I have isolated the clothing I’ll take on one end of the closet, and decided what shoes to wear and take. It’s been a while since I traveled, so I had to check out my toiletries bag to make sure everything I’ll need is in there. Now I should look up the dimension requirements for a carry-on bag to see if my Sierra Club duffel bag will work. I’m not going to take a computer this trip, but want to remember my camera. I am getting excited about spending a week with all of my sisters and some time with nieces and nephews. I swam and soaked in the hot tub this evening. A couple of regulars were there to visit with and some gals I’ve never seen before were going in as I was leaving. There are new people moving into our community all the time. This is starting to sound like a dull, boring Facebook entry—time to call it a night. |
