Happy Easter to All

Last night when I posted my blog entry to my website, the daily poem that came up seemed particularly apropos. As you may know, each day a different poem appears, in random order, on the home page of my website.

The poem follows:

So Maybe I Can Remember to
Serve the Asparagus

Bought myself a bottle of gingko biloba today.
Hopin’ for miracles from that potion.  Each year
I grow older I forget somethin’ new.  Get annoyed
when I can’t find my keys, aggravated when I lose
my car in a lot, but really embarrassed when I forget
to cook and serve the asparagus. Easter brunch over,
lots of food left, including those raw spears still chillin’
in the vegetable tray.  Guess I better cook it right away.

I won’t be serving today, so there’s no danger of forgetting a menu item.
