Invasion of the Furniture Carriers

A small army of Floyd’s children and grandchildren arrived at his apartment this afternoon with a U-Haul trailer and emptied the contents of his place into the trailer. They arrived here and ran in all directions carrying his worldly goods. About a third of what they had loaded went back to the trailer to be hauled to their warehouse to be stored. Another daughter arrived as they were finishing and stayed to visit a while. She gave us both a welcome excuse to sit and rest.

After that, we did a little straightening and put some things away, then gave up and had a light supper of leftover soup and fruit salad.

I note on AOL that the outdoor temperature is still 76 degrees so it must have been quite warm outside this afternoon. It was comfortable in here. I have the fan running behind me to keep the air moving and it’s very pleasant

We still have a lot of work to do putting things away and straightening here and there. We have agreed to find a house cleaner to come in occasionally to do heavy cleaning, which will take a load off my mind and/or feet.

Tomorrow when my feet need a rest I can go back to working on my checking account. I’m getting closer to balancing, but a miss is as good as a mile.
