Just Another Summer Day

My son’s surgery went very well today and I had a long phone visit with him this evening. His wife’s audition went well also, and I’ll learn more about the program she’ll appear in later.

Sitting in a hospital waiting room for hours (does anyone ever get into surgery at the time scheduled?) was interesting. With all the talk about overweight Americans lately, I looked around and noted that the most overweight people in the room were men. The one sitting next to me looked nine months pregnant. The overweight women were hospital employees. I believe in the past my weight gains were stress related and I think working in a hospital has got to be stressful.

Tomorrow promises to be a beautiful day and I have a swimming date with a new friend. I hope to get some chores caught up around here and do some shopping in the morning.

Meanwhile, back at the computer, the writing is getting neglected. Got to get around to catching up on that, if I ever get unpacked and squared away.
