My Work’s Cut Out for Me

My Webmaster is preparing my website for transfer to another service provider and, in the process, a few minor glitches popped up. I’ve been using Microsoft Word to draft my blog and travel entries and some of Word’s punctuation idiosyncrasies do not transfer correctly. Therefore, I feel compelled to edit the transferred entries before we go on line with the new provider. I started on this tedious project tonight.

Much to my delight, the pictures on my travel pages covering the Asian cruise, that have not appeared on AOL for some time, have reappeared. That may motivate me to post more pictures in the future, maybe even on the blog. Most blogs that I read contain all sorts of pictures. I just need to learn to use my new scanner first. Learning curves grow steeper as the learner’s brain ages.

While I was modifying my Word program to correct one of the punctuation discrepancies, I discovered how to delete the command that capitalizes the first letter of every line of poetry, as if it were a new sentence. I’ve been trying to figure that out for a long time.

Today the pool was back to its usual warm temperature, so I had a wonderful swim and exercise session. There were only two women who had signed the book in the dressing room all day today and we were both swimming at the same time. She and I are among half a dozen regulars who swim in the afternoons. I probably won’t make it over there tomorrow because we have two family gatherings. If I’m lucky, I may work in a swim on Christmas Day. With all the extra eating, I can use the exercise.
