Online CommunicationI’m blown away and flattered by the people who friend me on Facebook and want to link up on Linked In. I rarely reach out to anyone on either of these sites, especially to people who are much younger than I, believing that they are unlikely to be interested. I really don’t know much about how to use those sites except to lurk and make comments. I do enjoy a lot of the pictures and messages that are posted. I’ve seen pictures of weddings I couldn’t get to in New Mexico and Minnesota. Pictures of friends’ trips are another benefit. I also appreciate contact with people in other areas that I’ve lost touch with. Writing this blog is my contribution to keep anyone who’s interested up to date on my activities—not always exciting—maybe sometimes mildly interesting. My swim/exercise session was pretty private this morning. Another woman came in just before I left to soak in the hot tub. A neighbor I hadn’t seen in a while walked by just as I was getting in the car, long enough to say hello, Yesterday was a good writing day. I did some editing and beefed up some of my memoir stories. I hope to get more of that done today. So far I’ve been able to keep it comfortably cool in here without the use of the air conditioner. By Monday, if we get the temperatures that are predicted, I may have to resort to cranking it up. The dehumidifier is not filling up as fast as at first. I can run it for six to eight hours and lift the water in it to dump it. I wonder if it will be different in the winter. 0 Comment(s) about this entry. | Permalink |
