Park Me In Front of the ScreenThere are still so many tasks to choose from while I’m transferring data to my new desktop, that I have trouble making up my mind where to start. It certainly keeps me from being bored, however. If I get tired of deleting junk, I can switch to moving good stuff or organizing indexes, and so on. Never again will I let so much junk and so many duplications accumulate. While organizing indexes, I was pleasantly surprised to see how many life stories are ready to stack into a memoir book. Most have been edited, critiqued, and edited again, so there shouldn’t be a lot of final editing when they’re put together. At least, I hope not. Next I need to see where missing pieces might need to be filled in. I don’t plan to make my memoirs the story of my life; instead I intend to tell stories from my life. But there may be parts that need to be added to weave the stories together cohesively. That will take some time to evaluate. From past experiences putting books together, whether poetry or prose, the arrangement, the indexing, and final editing can be quite time consuming.
So, hi ho, hi ho, off to work I go.
