Post Primary Ponderings

“Anyone who is capable of getting themselves made President should on no account be allowed to do the job.”

--Douglas Adams

The above quote works a little better than a saying I’ve repeated over the years, especially election years.

“Anyone who’s smart enough to be president is too smart to want the job.”

We certainly live in interesting times, probably more of a curse than a blessing, but never boring. Yesterday I read that astrologers are predicting that Barack Obama will be elected president, but one astrologer predicts that there will be a problem with his taking office. We must wait and see if there is any accuracy to these prognostications. If he becomes our leader, I hope that his youthful energy and enthusiasm will make up for his lack of knowledge and experience.

Time will tell.
