Rest in Peace

My faithful printer-copier-scanner died today. In the middle of studying to buy a digital camera, I now have to research buying a replacement for my combination magic machine. There is plenty of information on the web, it just takes time to read through it. Then, when I decide on one, it has to be set up and installed. No doubt the ink cartridge I just purchased won’t fit the new one, either.

The equipment was a bargain. It lasted four years at about $20.00 per year, based on the purchase price. However, if I’d kept track of the number of ink cartridges I bought in those four years, the total cost would probably be depressing.

I notice the prices have gone up a good bit in the last four years. No doubt, the number of facilities that are refilling ink cartridges have cut into the profits of the hardware manufacturer, so the price has to go up.

So, tomorrow I will fit shopping time in around my chiropractic appointment and other errands. And I must figure out where to bury my faithful servant who died in my care.
